Ola, the pioneering app-based ride-hailing company, marked a significant milestone by initiating cab operations at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya. Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder of Ola, announced this development on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter).
Aggarwal highlighted the establishment of a dedicated pickup zone and a round-the-clock assistance team to ensure a seamless experience for travelers.
Expressing enthusiasm about expanding services to Ayodhya, Aggarwal emphasized Ola’s commitment to serving the Indian population. He underscored Ayodhya’s emergence as a prominent cultural and tourist destination, foreseeing immense growth opportunities in the city.
On X, Aggarwal conveyed a similar sentiment, welcoming the launch of Ola operations at Ayodhya Airport. He reiterated Ayodhya’s status as a thriving cultural hub and expressed optimism about enhancing convenience for Indian travelers.
Ola’s mobility business in India witnessed a notable turnaround, reporting a profit of Rs 250 crore in the financial year 2023, compared to a loss of Rs 66 crore in the previous year. The company’s revenue also experienced significant growth, rising by 58% to Rs 2,135 crore in the financial year 2023.
