Statiq and GLIDA (formerly known as Fortum Charge & Drive India), two prominent players in India’s electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, have forged a partnership to drive the adoption of electric vehicles across the nation. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to revolutionize the EV charging infrastructure in India, offering enhanced convenience, accessibility, and empowerment to Passenger Electric Vehicle (PEV) users nationwide.
Under this partnership, all public chargers within GLIDA’s charging network can now be accessed through the Statiq App, providing users with visibility and seamless access to GLIDA’s entire charging network, including existing and upcoming chargers. This integration enables EV users to enjoy interoperability between Statiq and GLIDA charging stations, eliminating the need for multiple apps for charging and connectivity. While GLIDA Chargers will still be accessible through the GLIDA App and Charge-Thru, an app-agnostic weblink solution designed for EV users’ convenience.
Mr. Raghav Arora, Co-founder & CTO of Statiq, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with GLIDA to accelerate India’s transition to electric mobility. This partnership represents a significant step in our mission to establish a comprehensive and user-friendly EV charging ecosystem in the country. By integrating GLIDA’s chargers into the Statiq app, we are enhancing convenience and accessibility for EV users, reflecting our shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric solutions. Together, we aim to create a seamless charging experience for EV owners and contribute to shaping India’s sustainable transportation ecosystem.”
Aligned with Statiq’s overarching strategy, the company is actively collaborating with various charge point operators (CPOs) to enable new and existing EV users to access reliable charging infrastructure across partner CPOs without the hassle of managing multiple apps. Additionally, Statiq Credits can now be seamlessly utilized across all partner CPOs, ensuring users have access to a diverse and interconnected charging network.
Mr. Awadhesh Kumar Jha, Executive Director of GLIDA, emphasized the strategic significance of the partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with Statiq underscores our commitment to advancing EV charging infrastructure in India. This unique partnership expands avenues for users to discover, access, and experience charging on GLIDA’s nationwide network through the Statiq App, alongside our own App and the App agnostic Charge-Thru. Leveraging our expertise in green mobility solutions, we are building a robust and sustainable EV charging infrastructure that aligns with evolving customer needs. Together, we are driving towards a cleaner and greener future, making it ‘All Lights Green’ for our end users. This initiative exemplifies GLIDA’s vision of electrifying mobility in India through smart and innovative solutions for a cleaner tomorrow.”
This strategic collaboration represents a significant milestone in India’s journey towards a sustainable transportation ecosystem. With over 850 GLIDA charging points accessible to EV users through various platforms, including the Statiq app, this partnership marks a significant advancement in addressing users’ concerns and accelerating the adoption of EVs. As India embraces the shift to electric vehicles, collaborative efforts like this will be instrumental in building the infrastructure necessary to support widespread adoption and foster a cleaner, more sustainable transportation landscape.
