Goyal Aluminium announced that it will enter the electric vehicle market through Wroley E India, a newly formed venture. According to an exchange filing the company will produce electric scooters and low-speed scooters for Indian markets.
In a statement, the company stated that this decision was in accordance with the government’s initiatives of “Clean India” and “Green India”.
Wroley E India has been approved by Shri Ram Finance for financing to allow customers to purchase an electric scooter in monthly installments.
The statement stated that electric scooters will be more popular than existing fuel-mechanic two-wheelers.
The company plans to launch electric scooters with high speeds in April. It has received approval from the Central Institute of Road Transport.
The company also appointed 25 dealers in northern India and anticipates appointing 150 dealers throughout the country by March 2024.
