The Uttar Pradesh government continues receiving more investment proposals, with the Hinduja Group proposing an investment of Rs 1,000 crore in an electric vehicle plant.
Sunil Kumar Chaddha, a senior advisor to Hinduja Group, met Nand Gopal Gupta “Nandi” here. He proposed setting up an EV plant which would provide nearly 6,000 jobs. Nandi promised all assistance and he said that the state government was required to cooperate in land allocation.
Arvind Kumar, additional chief secretary for industrial development, was consulted by the minister and gave instructions for the allotment of land.
The plant would be manufactured by the Hinduja Group, which will also produce light commercial vehicles and electric buses. According to a press release, this would allow for investments of up to Rs 10,000 crore through subsidiaries.
