Inching closer to its motto to shift India’s mobility dependence from Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) to greener, sustainable electric vehicles, goEgoNetwork – India’s leading EV charging solutions providing company has recently entered a strategic partnership with Bengaluru-based SRIT India Pvt. Ltd., formerly Sobha Renaissance Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., to set up its first fast charge park in Bengaluru at ITPL Main Road, Kundalahalli, Brooke Field, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Interestingly the development comes at a time wherein the demand for EV charging infrastructure is on the rise in Karnataka. Reportedly, while delivering his speech on the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day, V Sunil Kumar, District-in-Charge Minister spoke about Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation’s (KPTCL) plans to set up 79 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
As part of expanding its reach in Karnataka’s developing EV-charging market, under the guided approach of SRIT, goEgoNetwork is poised to set up at least 500-1000 charging stations across Karnataka in 1 year.
Notably, the 24×7 state-of-the-art charge park in Bengaluru will be equipped with one unit each of goEgoNetwork’s Pelican Pro (60 kW), Pelican (15 kW – GBT), Eagle, and Albatross to ensure efficient and fast charging of all types of EVs including two, three and four-wheelers. The Charging Park is equipped with goEgoNetwork’s Pelican EV charging station that has a powerful capacity of 60kW. With this charging station, 4-wheeler EV owners can charge their EVs to 80% in just 45-60 minutes and can enjoy a full charge in just 90-120 minutes depending on the size of the battery.
“We are elated for having partnered with goEgo Network to set up the fast charge park at SRIT premises. As the number of residents in the vicinity and our employees has been increasingly vouching for EVs either through public transport or personal vehicles, we felt that there was a need to let them commute without fearing range anxiety. The fast-charging facility is open to two, three, and four-wheeled vehicles along with the capacity to even charge 9-meter electric buses. It is a revolutionary move for the residents of Bengaluru who are dependent on EVs for their daily commute,” said Anwar Haveri, Director, SRIT.
Speaking about the launch of the charge park in Bengaluru, Sayantan Chakraborti, Managing Director and Founder, goEgoNetwork, said, “The demand for cleaner, sustainable means of transport, i.e. electric vehicles is popularizing increasingly in India. Subsequently, the demand for charging infrastructure needs to be met too. We at goEgoNetwork are proud to be the leading EV charging network with a presence in over 55 cities across India. Our most recent fast charge park in Bengaluru will ensure hassle-free movement of EVs in the city. Strategically located in the proximity of highways, many commuters from several residential localities in the vicinity can benefit from the charge park.”
The newest charge park catapults the company close to its ambitious journey towards enabling 2 million members to adopt zero-emission mobility. The charging park will support the charging of EVs of all makes currently available in the Indian market. goEgoNetwork has close to two thousand members on its network and gets up to 50 charging sessions per day. Using the goME app, one can enjoy a seamless charging experience with real-time notifications about the EV’s charging status while the vehicle’s owner can relax and rejuvenate at the shopping bay within the premises.
With over 21 years of expertise in providing IT solutions to Telecoms, Universities, Educational Institutions, and large government enterprises, SRIT will further provide locations either independently or by way of a coalition, tie-ups, and many more with Private and Government bodies to enable goEgoNetwork to install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) at those designated locations.
