BYD India launches the long-awaited Atto 3 electric SUV. The same can be booked for as low as Rs 50,000, and deliveries will start in January 2023. The ARAI has certified that the electric SUV can travel 521 kilometres per charge. This makes it one of the longest-range electric vehicles on the market.
India-spec BYD Atto 3 comes with a 60.48 kWh BYD blade battery pack. It is certified by ARAI as offering a range of 521km per charge. The company claims that the Atto 3 can charge from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes with a DC fast charger. The regular AC home charger takes around 10 hours to charge the Atto 3.
The new BYD ATTO 3 is powered by a single permanent magnet synchronous motor with 201 bhp. It also has 310 Nm peak torque. The electric SUV claims to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. The BYD Atto 3 is 4,455mm long, 1,875mm wide, 1,615mm high, and has a 2,720mm wheelbase. The boot area is 440 litres.
The BYD Atto 3 features include a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, 8 speakers, LED lighting, and a digital instrument cluster. The safety suite of this electric SUV includes seven airbags.
