Ola Electric announced that it will be entering international markets, starting with Nepal. According to the company, it signed an agreement with CG Motors, Nepal to become local distributor of its Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters.
According to a statement from the Bengaluru-based electric-two-wheeler manufacturer, the scooters will be made available in Nepal in the next quarter.
The company plans to expand its presence in up to five global markets in the second phase. This includes ASEAN, Latin America and the European Union.
“Our international expansion not only means that we will as a company be able to serve customers in these similar regions, but it is also a testament to the fact that India will lead the EV revolution for the world,” Ola Founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal noted.
He said that India must be the epicenter for change if the electric vehicle revolution is to truly reach its full potential.
Recently, the company unveiled its electric four-wheeler project.
