Enphase Energy, Inc. a global energy technology company, and the leading supplier of microinverter solar and battery systems, announced today that ClipperCreek, Enphase’s division offering electric vehicle (EV), charging solutions, has expanded product deployments in response to rising consumer interest.
ClipperCreek product users in the United States have witnessed a growing use of the EV charging infrastructure. Enphase’s ClipperCreek products are used by industry-leading technology providers, such as ZEF Energy and Xeal Energy, to expand their networks and reach more people in the country.
ClipperCreek’s partnership allows us to develop the next generation of EV charging systems powered by our Helix technology, which increases charger reliability and uptime. This is Nikhil Bharadwaj (co-founder and CTO) at Xeal Energy. “Electrification is a major shift that will require a reliable and advanced technology infrastructure. We are thrilled to work with the best products and services in order to meet this demand.
Electric vehicles are expected to make up 30% of all cars by 2050. Vehicle owners want to be able to charge their vehicles quickly and easily at home or on the move. ClipperCreek EV Chargers from Enphase include hardwired and plug-in options that can be used with all EVs currently available in North America.
“ZEF Energy offers one of the smartest, vertically-integrated EV chargers, with a focus on utility grade metering, driver billing, and reporting,” said Matthew Blackler, CEO of ZEF Energy. ClipperCreek has been an important partner since the beginning. This partnership has allowed us to package our products holistically with advanced control and a long warranty for our customers. Enphase has new opportunities for us to expand our partnership, and we will continue to work together to offer high-quality, reliable chargers that provide the best cell coverage to EV owners.
The growing penetration of EVs will lead to households consuming more power and having access to large batteries that can be used to provide backup and grid services. Enphase intends to expand its leadership in home electrification. It will use its power conversion capabilities as well as its software to integrate EV charging solutions within a single home energy management system.
Enphase Energy’s chief commercial officer Dave Ranhoff stated that Enphase products have already been used to power millions of homes around the world. ClipperCreek products provide a world-class solution for people making the transition towards electrification. We are proud to partner with innovative companies such as Xeal Energy and ZEF Energy to expand EV charging access for new customers. Enphase and its installer network will continue to drive electrification in homes, schools and businesses as the demand for EV charging continues to grow.
