Zypp Electric Partners With Zepto To Facilitate Last-Mile Deliveries

Zypp Electric, an e-logistics provider, announced that it has increased its partnership with Zepto (a 10-minute grocery delivery platform) to facilitate last-mile deliveries in greener ways.

Zypp currently serves 50 Zepto hubs within Delhi-NCR. The company plans to double its national fleet and increase its service areas by 10x in the coming 12 months.

“In this first leg of our partnership, we have collectively helped reduce 1.62 lakh carbon emissions and facilitated more than half a million for Zepto so far, all via electric vehicles,” said Akash Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, of Zypp Electric.

Both startups have a fleet of more than 1,500 EV drivers and enable over 20,000 deliveries daily in Delhi. The startup will also expand to Bengaluru, Mumbai and other cities in the next 4 months.

“As we grow, our focus will be towards continuous reduction of carbon footprints across our operations”, said Vinay Dahani, Chief Operating Officer, Zepto.

Startups claimed that they had reduced carbon emissions by more than 1.02 million Kg through 17 lakh deliveries. Zypp Electric has a fleet of over 5,000 electric scooters in operation and plans to deploy more than 1.5 lakh scooters by 2023.

The start-up has partnered up with industry leaders such as Zomato, Swiggy, Myntra, PharmEasy, Big Basket, Amazon, Jio Mart, Delhivery, Spencers, and Flipkart.

Zepto was founded in 2021 and is now valued at $900 Million after its recent Series D funding of $200M.
