MSEDCL Installs 13 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations In The State And Will Install 2,375 More

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) installs 13 electric vehicle charging stations in the state and wants to install 2,375 more stations.

MSEDCL has installed 5 EV charging stations in Thane, 5 in Pune, 2 in Navi Mumbai, and 1 in Nagpur. 49 more EV charging stations are under construction. In total, Navi Mumbai has 10 EV charging stations, Thane has 6, Nashik has 2, Aurangabad has 2, Pune has 17, Solapur has 2, Nagpur has 6, Kolhapur has 2, and Ambravati has 2.

By the end of 2025, MSEDCL will install 1500 EV charging stations in Mumbai, 500 in Pune, 150 in Nagpur, 100 in Nashik, 75 in Aurangabad, 30 in Amravati, and 20 in Solapur.

EV charging stations will also be installed across major highways of the state including Nashik-Pune motorways, and Mumbai-Nashik.

If any individuals want to install an EV charging station, MSEDCL will give them a priority power supply and will also provide financial incentives for the same.

A financial provision of Rs 40 crore will be provided by MSEDCL for installing 15,500 EV charging stations which include 1500 slow chargers and 500 medium chargers.
