Mumbai To Launch EV Charging System At 8 Stations

The Central Railway (CR) to launch electric vehicle charging stations at 8 stations of the city. These stations are Bhandup, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Kurla), Panvel, Kalyan, Parel, Byculla, and Dadar.

Currently, there is only 1 EV charging point which is at CSMT. Central Railway has permitted parking space outside Kurla Station for Yulu bikes which is convenient for office goers. Electric auto stands is also available outside Thane station with battery swapping point.

The BEST plans to establish charging points for electric buses at 55 places near railway stations, a dozen bus stations and 27 bus depots.
