Accelerating India’s EV Revolution: Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility And MG Motor India Collaborate For Charging Solutions

Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) and part of the diverse Adani Portfolio, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MG Motor India to bolster the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in India. The collaboration aims to develop charging solutions and value-added services for MG’s EV customers nationwide.

Under this partnership, ATEL will install CC2 60 kW DC chargers at upcoming MG dealerships to expand the charging network and improve customer accessibility. The partnership will also include providing, installing, initiating, managing, and servicing the charging infrastructure. Furthermore, a digital platform will be introduced to streamline the customer journey, including discovering, verifying users, charging, and settling bills via a dedicated mobile app.

Furthermore, both parties will explore integrating public charging stations across platforms using advanced application programming interfaces (APIs) to enhance network visibility and accessibility. This integration aims to enhance accessibility and visibility within the PCS Network, ensuring a seamless experience across the integrated network jointly owned and deployed by both entities.

Gaurav Gupta, MG Motor India’s Chief Growth Officer, reiterated the company’s dedication to achieving carbon neutrality, promoting sustainability, and fostering green mobility. He emphasized the strategic partnership’s role in catalyzing the adoption of electric vehicles in India and revolutionizing the EV landscape by building a robust charging infrastructure.

Suresh P Mangalani, Executive Director & CEO of ATGL, highlighted the significance of the partnership in accelerating India’s energy transition towards more sustainable and clean energy sources. He emphasized the role of this effort in reducing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner and greener environment.

The collaboration will enhance the customer experience with RFID solutions accessible to MG users at strategic locations of ATEL’s public charging network, including airports. Under bulk purchase agreements, ATEL will furnish RFID cards to MG, offering exclusive discounts to MG users.
