SWITCH Mobility has secured an order to supply 650 electric buses to Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. for deployment across Mumbai and Pune under the Government of India’s PM E-Drive Phase II initiative, strengthening electric public transportation in Maharashtra.
The order covers the supply of 9-metre electric buses under the CESL PM E-Drive Phase II tender, with Sai Green Projects serving as the selected operator. The fleet will include both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses, which will be deployed with Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) in Mumbai and Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) in Pune.
SWITCH Mobility said the deployment supports India’s efforts to reduce emissions, improve public transport efficiency, and accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility in major urban centres.
