Tata Motors Reports 37% Growth in July 2026 Sales, Commercial Vehicle Volumes Rise Across Domestic and Export Markets

Tata Motors Ltd. reported total sales of 39,641 units across domestic and international markets in July 2026, registering a 37% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to 28,956 units sold during the same month last year.

The company’s commercial vehicle business recorded steady growth during the month, driven by higher volumes in both domestic and international markets.

Domestic sales of Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MH&ICV) stood at 15,435 units in July 2026, up 25% YoY from 12,378 units recorded in July 2025.

Including exports, domestic and international MH&ICV sales reached 16,364 units during the month, compared to 13,669 units in July 2025, reflecting a 20% year-on-year increase.

Tata Motors, part of the USD 180 billion Tata Group, is one of India’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, utility vehicles and pick-ups. The company operates in India and South Korea while maintaining a presence across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia and SAARC countries.

The company offers a portfolio of commercial mobility solutions supported by advanced powertrains, connected vehicle technologies and intelligent fleet management systems, catering to applications ranging from last-mile logistics to public transportation.

Tata Motors also noted that, following the Composite Scheme of Arrangement approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, TML Commercial Vehicles Limited was renamed Tata Motors Limited, effective October 29, 2025. The company’s equity shares are listed on the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).
