Tata Power has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across India, announcing new charging stations in Pune, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Kolkata as the country’s EV adoption continues to accelerate.

The company said its Tata Power EZ Charge network has facilitated more than 7.5 lakh charging sessions nationwide, enabling over 414 million green miles while helping avoid approximately 50,000 tonnes of tailpipe CO₂ emissions. The milestone reflects the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure as India advances its clean mobility transition.

As part of its latest expansion, Tata Power will inaugurate new EV charging stations at Kopa Mall in Pune, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) locations on both sides of the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata equipped with six charging guns. The new installations are intended to improve charging accessibility along major intercity corridors and within urban centres, supporting both daily commuters and long-distance EV users.

The expansion comes as India’s electric vehicle market continues to register strong growth. According to the company, EV sales surpassed 2.55 million units in FY2026, with all four vehicle segments recording double-digit growth. Retail sales of zero-emission passenger vehicles also increased during the fiscal year, reflecting rising consumer adoption of electric mobility.

Tata Power said its growing charging network is helping bridge the infrastructure gap by expanding charging availability across residential communities, commercial establishments, highways and urban mobility hubs. The company added that strengthening the country’s charging ecosystem is essential to supporting India’s transition towards cleaner, smarter and more sustainable transportation.

The latest rollout further reinforces Tata Power’s strategy to scale public EV charging infrastructure and improve charging convenience as electric mobility gains momentum across India.
