VinFast has reached a major milestone in its electric mobility journey, officially rolling out its 1-millionth electric scooter, underscoring the company’s rapid growth and leadership in Vietnam’s transition to sustainable transportation.

The landmark vehicle, a red Feliz II scooter, rolled off the production line at VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Hai Phong. The model is among the company’s most popular offerings, featuring a removable battery system that allows home charging or battery swapping for added convenience.

The achievement marks nearly eight years of development since VinFast launched its first electric scooter, the Klara, in 2018. Over that period, the company has introduced nearly 15 product lines and more than 30 variants tailored to different customer segments.

VinFast’s diverse portfolio ranges from student-friendly models such as the Ludo, Impes, Zgoo, Flazz, and Amio to mass-market scooters like the Evo, Feliz, and Klara. Its premium lineup includes the Vento, Theon, and Viper models. Looking ahead, the company plans to launch four electric sport motorcycles by 2027, further expanding its product ecosystem.

Technology has been central to VinFast’s growth strategy. The company has transitioned from lead-acid batteries to lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries across its lineup, while pioneering dual removable battery systems that extend driving range and improve user convenience.

VinFast has also expanded its nationwide distribution network to nearly 750 locations, strengthening customer access to sales and after-sales services. Supporting this network is an extensive charging and battery-swapping infrastructure that has helped drive adoption of electric mobility in Vietnam.

The company recorded a significant milestone in 2025, selling a record 406,453 electric scooters. According to Hoang Ha, CEO of VinFast Electric Motorcycles Vietnam, the 1-millionth vehicle reflects consumers’ trust in the brand and reinforces the company’s mission to create a sustainable future.

To support rising demand and exports, VinFast has invested in an additional manufacturing plant in Ha Tinh Province alongside its Hai Phong facility. Beyond maintaining its leadership in Vietnam, the company is expanding into international markets including Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Malaysia.

As VinFast scales production and global expansion, the company is positioning Vietnamese electric mobility on the world stage while advancing the transition toward greener transportation.
