Atpole Technologies Private Limited, a subsidiary of Bondada Engineering Limited, has acquired a 51% stake in BTM Mobility Private Limited, marking the group’s entry into the electric two-wheeler manufacturing segment. The acquisition involves the purchase of 5,100 equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each for a cash consideration. With this transaction, BTM Mobility becomes a subsidiary of Atpole Technologies.
BTM Mobility Private Limited, formerly known as Thuraga Motors Private Limited, is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and assembly of electric two-wheelers. Its business operations also include the production and assembly of related components and original equipment required for electric mobility applications.
The acquisition represents a strategic forward integration of Bondada Engineering Group’s existing capabilities in brushless direct current (BLDC) motor manufacturing. By acquiring a controlling stake in BTM Mobility, the group aims to expand its presence across the electric vehicle value chain and strengthen its position in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market.
The integration will provide the group with access to BTM Mobility’s established product design capabilities, intellectual property portfolio and existing order pipeline. These resources are expected to support the development of its electric mobility business, enhance manufacturing capabilities and create opportunities for further growth in the domestic EV sector.
The company stated that the acquisition aligns with the Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat and the Make in India initiative. The move also reflects the group’s focus on promoting indigenous manufacturing, encouraging technological innovation and contributing to the development of a stronger domestic electric mobility ecosystem.
The transaction was completed on an arm’s-length basis and does not involve any related-party arrangements. The acquisition also did not require external governmental or regulatory approvals, enabling the process to be completed without additional approval-related delays.
Through this strategic investment, Bondada Engineering aims to diversify its business operations beyond its existing manufacturing activities and strengthen its participation in India’s expanding electric vehicle industry.
