EMO Energy has announced its entry into the heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) segment with the launch of an intelligent battery platform designed for electric buses, trucks, and high-utilization commercial fleets.
The move marks a significant expansion for the company as demand for reliable and efficient electrification solutions continues to grow across logistics, public transport, and industrial mobility sectors.
The newly unveiled platform combines advanced battery systems, fast-charging capabilities, thermal management technologies, and AI-powered battery intelligence into a single integrated solution. It is specifically engineered to address critical challenges faced by commercial EV operators, including vehicle downtime, overheating, charging delays, and battery degradation.
Supporting high-voltage architectures of up to 800V, the platform enables charging in less than 30 minutes and is compatible with both Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery chemistries.
Key features include a modular battery architecture, immersion-cooling thermal systems, smart battery management systems (BMS), cell-level health monitoring, predictive diagnostics, advanced safety mechanisms, and vehicle-specific customization. The platform also integrates SENS, EMO Energy’s proprietary AI intelligence layer, which provides real-time battery insights and performance optimization.
The solution has been developed for a wide range of heavy-duty and commercial EV applications, including electric buses, freight and logistics fleets, heavy trucks, construction vehicles, and industrial mobility platforms.
According to the company, the platform goes beyond conventional battery systems that focus primarily on energy capacity. Instead, it emphasizes battery intelligence, operational uptime, and long-term reliability, helping fleet operators improve efficiency, reduce maintenance-related disruptions, and lower total cost of ownership.
The platform also supports second-life battery ecosystem initiatives, aligning with broader sustainability and circular economy goals within the EV industry.
EMO Energy already collaborates with multiple commercial EV manufacturers to develop integrated battery systems, charging infrastructure, thermal management solutions, and AI-driven battery intelligence technologies. The company said its expansion into the HCV segment will create new deployment opportunities across logistics, transportation, and public mobility networks.
Commenting on the development, Sheetanshu Tyagi, Founder and CEO of EMO Energy, said intelligent battery technology will play a defining role in the future of commercial electrification.
“The future of commercial EVs will be defined not just by battery capacity, but by battery intelligence. At EMO Energy, we’re building intelligent battery systems that help commercial fleets achieve higher uptime, faster charging, and long-term reliability at scale,” he said.
With commercial vehicle electrification gaining momentum in India and globally, EMO Energy’s latest offering positions the company to play a larger role in enabling the next phase of sustainable transportation.
