VinFast has unveiled the all-new VF MPV 7 in India, marking its entry into the electric multi-purpose vehicle segment with a focus on large families and practical mobility needs. The launch represents the company’s third product introduction in the Indian market within a year, reinforcing its aggressive expansion strategy.
Designed specifically for Indian consumers, the VF MPV 7 is a premium seven-seater electric vehicle that prioritizes space, comfort, and versatility. It features a 2,840 mm wheelbase and a theatre-style three-row seating layout, offering a spacious third row suitable for adult passengers. The vehicle also provides flexible storage capacity ranging from 126 litres to 1,240 litres, catering to both daily and long-distance travel requirements.
Under the hood, the VF MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering an ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a single charge. The electric motor produces 150 kW of power and 280 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes.
The MPV’s design incorporates a bold front fascia with VinFast’s signature V-shaped LED lighting, along with modern styling elements such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a large glass area for improved visibility, and a minimalist yet premium interior. Inside, customers can choose between dual-tone or all-black cabin themes, complemented by leatherette upholstery and a multifunction steering wheel.
Technology and convenience features include a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, a virtual assistant, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, and dedicated third-row air-conditioning controls. A unique “Camp Mode” enables continued operation of lighting, HVAC, and infotainment systems while stationary.
Safety features include ABS, ESC, traction control, hill start assist, rollover mitigation, and four airbags, ensuring a secure driving experience for occupants.
VinFast is also offering an extensive ownership package, including a 10-year battery warranty, 7-year vehicle warranty, free maintenance for three years, and roadside assistance for seven years, positioning the VF MPV 7 as a strong value proposition in its segment.
The vehicle will be locally assembled at VinFast’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, as part of its “Make in India” strategy. The VF MPV 7 joins the VF 6 and VF 7 models in the company’s growing Indian lineup.
In parallel, VinFast is rapidly expanding its presence across the country, aiming to scale up to 75 showrooms and over 230 service workshops by the end of 2026. The company is also rolling out initiatives such as free EV charging through the V-Green network until 2029 and buyback assurance programs to accelerate EV adoption.
With the VF MPV 7, VinFast is targeting India’s large family segment while strengthening its foothold in the country’s evolving electric mobility landscape.
