VinFast has announced the completion of a major strategic restructuring of its automotive portfolio into three distinct brand lines, alongside the global unveiling of two new ultra-luxury electric vehicles (EVs) — the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S.

Under the newly defined structure, VinFast’s automotive portfolio will now operate across three strategic segments: Lac Hong (ultra-luxury), VF (mass-market passenger EVs), and Green (commercial mobility solutions).

The Lac Hong marque represents the pinnacle of VinFast’s ultra-luxury ambitions and currently includes the 900 LX, 900S and 800S models. The VF line continues to serve the mass-market segment with a broad EV portfolio ranging from the VF 3 to the VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7. Meanwhile, the Green brand focuses on commercial and service mobility with products such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green and Minio Green.

Two New Flagship Models

The newly unveiled Lac Hong 800S and 900S expand VinFast’s ultra-luxury lineup, complementing the flagship 900 LX introduced in 2025, including its advanced armored variant.

Inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage, both models incorporate distinctive national design elements. The grille features vertical slats symbolizing Vietnamese bamboo resilience, while the wing-shaped emblem reflects the Lac bird in ascent. Decorative motifs inspired by the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields are integrated across exterior and interior surfaces. The “Lac Hong” wordmark is rendered in a gold-plated alloy with calligraphic styling.

Inside, the cabins are appointed with Nappa leather, rare woods and gold-plated accents. The models are equipped with advanced intelligent technologies and comprehensive safety systems, complemented by ultra-luxury features such as zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power-assisted doors and premium entertainment systems.

The Lac Hong 900S further elevates exclusivity with a privacy partition between the cockpit and rear cabin, a starlight headliner, a large-format projection entertainment system and a foldable executive workstation designed for rear-seat occupants.

Performance and Technology

Both vehicles are powered by an all-new fully active suspension system aimed at delivering superior ride comfort and dynamic stability. They can be configured with a tri-motor powertrain — one motor at the front and two at the rear — generating up to 460 kW of combined output, reinforcing their high-performance ultra-luxury positioning.

Commercial launch of the Lac Hong 800S and 900S is scheduled for 2027.

Strategic Growth Phase

Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Automotives at VinFast, said the restructuring marks the beginning of a new development phase for the company.

“Following a period of accelerated growth — achieving the No.1 position in Vietnam and expanding into key regional markets — the completion of our three-brand structure lays the foundation for structured, professional and breakthrough-driven growth,” she stated.

To date, VinFast has introduced more than 15 EV models and has maintained its leadership position in Vietnam for 16 consecutive months. In 2025, the company delivered a record 175,099 vehicles in the domestic market, reinforcing its position as Vietnam’s leading automotive brand
