Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette has introduced its new VX-100 platform and launched the X-47 Venom, the first electric motorcycle built on its next-generation 100V architecture. The motorcycle features an upgraded electric powertrain, improved battery technology, faster charging capabilities and advanced rider safety systems. Priced at ₹2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 customers, the X-47 Venom is scheduled to begin deliveries in November 2026.

The X-47 Venom is powered by Ultraviolette’s newly developed UV LIGHTFURY motor, delivering 30 kW (40 hp) of peak power and 550 Nm of wheel torque. It offers a claimed IDC range of 343 km and a top speed of 155 km/h. The motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. With a kerb weight of 180 kg, it is approximately 20 kg lighter than the previous-generation platform.

The newly introduced VX-100 architecture incorporates SRB-11 battery technology, designed to deliver up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance. Its advanced thermal management system enables heat dissipation up to 50% faster, while the battery pack features IP67 protection and a pyro-fuse safety mechanism designed to isolate electrical circuits during critical faults.

A significant development is the motorcycle’s support for 12 kW DC fast charging, which Ultraviolette claims is a first for India’s electric two-wheeler segment. The motorcycle also includes a 1.6 kW onboard charger and a next-generation motor control unit offering three times the power density.

On the technology front, the X-47 Venom features a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, cruise control, integrated front and rear dashcams, and UV Hypersense radar intelligence. Its 77 GHz rear radar system supports blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtaking alerts and rear-collision warnings.

Commenting on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, highlighted the company’s focus on developing lighter, more efficient and technologically advanced electric motorcycles. He described the VX-100 architecture as a foundation for future products across multiple segments and international markets.

Alongside the motorcycle, Ultraviolette introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest designed to provide additional impact protection.

Bookings for the X-47 Venom opened on October 22 through Ultraviolette’s website and UV Space Stations across India. The company also plans to introduce the motorcycle in Europe at EICMA 2026 in Milan on November 3, supporting its continued expansion into international electric motorcycle markets.
