BMW Group Achieves Major Milestone with 1.5 Millionth EV Delivery, Reports Positive Q2 2025 Sales

The BMW Group has reported a steady performance in Q2 2025, marking a key milestone in its electric mobility journey by delivering its 1.5 millionth fully-electric vehicle. The company posted a +0.4% rise in global deliveries during the second quarter, totaling 621,271 units across its brands – BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce.

Despite facing overall marginal declines in half-yearly figures (-0.5% compared to H1 2024), the Group’s electrified vehicle sales surged +18.5%, with 318,949 units (BEVs + PHEVs) delivered in the first six months.

  • BMW brand led the charge with 1,070,814 deliveries in H1 2025, supported by +6.5% growth in electrified units and a +28.9% increase in plug-in hybrid sales.
  • BMW M GmbH posted its best-ever half-year, surpassing 100,000 units for the first time, up +6.5% year-on-year.
  • MINI recorded strong global growth at +17.3%, bolstered by high BEV demand. Over one-third of all MINIs sold were electric.
  • Rolls-Royce grew +9.4% in Q2 but declined slightly overall with 2,796 units delivered in H1.
  • BMW Motorrad faced a -6.3% dip, delivering 105,909 motorcycles in H1.

Regional Breakdown – H1 2025 Performance

  • Europe: Strong performance with +8.2% growth (497,778 units)
  • Germany: Steady at +3.6% (135,182 units)
  • Americas: Up +3.4% (237,167 units), with the U.S. contributing 193,091 units
  • Asia: Declined -11.1% (438,294 units), driven by a -15.5% drop in China

The BMW Group continues expanding its fully electric lineup with over 15 BEV models now available. The successful launch of the BMW M5 and M5 Touring and sustained demand for electrified MINIs reaffirm the company’s commitment to electric transformation.

With high demand across Europe and the U.S., alongside improved availability of key models, BMW remains confident in its BEV leadership ambitions, even as it navigates challenges in the Asian markets.
