Statiq, a leader in India’s electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has made significant strides in 2024, expanding its network to 8,000 chargers across 65 cities, capturing a 22% market share. The company’s deployments this year included key locations such as Double Tree by Hilton Bangalore, Hilton Garden Inn Lucknow, Express Avenue Mall in Chennai, Nexus Koramangala Mall in Bengaluru, and Fun Republic Mall in Lucknow, among others.

As part of its growth strategy, Statiq has also entered the direct-to-consumer (D2C) market with the launch of the NECTAR 7.4kW AC charger, a compact and efficient charging solution tailored to the needs of Indian consumers. The company plans to further expand its network by installing 20,000 chargers across tier-2 cities, highways, and popular tourist destinations by the end of 2025.

Founder and CEO Mr. Akshit Bansal commented on the company’s journey, stating, “Our focus has always been on building an ecosystem that simplifies the EV ownership experience. This year, we concentrated on addressing accessibility gaps by integrating charging points at strategic locations and forming partnerships with automakers and infrastructure providers.”

On the technological front, Co-Founder and CTO Mr. Raghav Arora emphasized the importance of intelligent systems in the future of EV infrastructure. He stated, “At Statiq, we are investing in solutions that optimise charging efficiency while enhancing user convenience through predictive maintenance and smart analytics. Our goal is to not only deliver robust hardware but also transform how data and technology intersect with mobility.”

The company has strengthened its partnerships with major players in the sector, including Google Maps, Bharat Petroleum, Gentari, ChargeMod, Fortum, and ElectreeFi, as well as with automakers such as Hyundai, Tata, BMW, and Kia. These collaborations have helped Statiq enhance interoperability and expand its influence within the EV ecosystem.

As India targets 80 million EVs on the road by 2030, Statiq is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for reliable EV charging infrastructure. The company envisions a shift towards software-driven revenue models, complementing its hardware offerings, as part of its commitment to driving sustainable mobility and contributing to India’s green transition.
