DION Electric Vehicles, a subsidiary of Powertrans Mobility Ltd, has introduced two new electric scooter models, Augusta SP and Asta FH. They have also opened a new showroom in Chennai. DION now has a total of seven electric vehicle models, three showrooms, and five service centers. Customers can access vehicle servicing at 256 stations across Tamil Nadu through a partnership with a service provider.
The two new models were inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Minister Thiru. T. M. Anbarasan and Thiru. Mano Thangaraj, along with other dignitaries. The Augusta SP delivers impressive performance, reaching a top speed of 120 kmph and providing a range of up to 110 kilometers. The Asta FH is designed for peak performance. Both models feature advanced safety features and efficient charging capabilities.
The Augusta SP measures 1960 mm in length, 780 mm in width, and 1110 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1420 mm. It is equipped with a powerful 3000W motor and a 72V controller, and it uses a 4.3 kW lithium NMC battery. The scooter’s 72V 10A charger requires approximately 5 to 6 hours to fully charge the battery. It features 130/70-12 tires and is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. The scooter can reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h and offers a range of 100 to 120 km per charge, with a maximum range per charge of 120 km. It has a hill-climbing ability with a slope of up to 30 degrees and weighs 100 kg without the battery.
