In a significant uptick reflecting growing consumer interest in eco-friendly options, sales of Ford hybrid vehicles in the United States surged to 17,997 units in April, marking a remarkable 60 percent increase compared to the same period last year and setting a new monthly record.
Leading the charge in this momentum is the new F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid, which achieved a staggering 93.6% increase in sales, setting a new monthly record for April. Positioned as America’s top-selling full-size hybrid pickup, the F-150 Hybrid is capturing the attention of consumers with its blend of performance and efficiency. Notably, early adopters of the 2024 model are overwhelmingly opting for the available 7.2kW Pro Power Onboard feature, enhancing versatility by providing power for various needs such as jobsites, tailgate parties, or during power outages.
Further bolstering Ford’s hybrid lineup’s success is the Maverick Hybrid, which has emerged as the best-selling hybrid pickup overall for the year thus far. With a total of 26,061 units sold over the first four months of 2024, the Maverick Hybrid continues to resonate with customers seeking a blend of utility and fuel efficiency. Remarkably, 59% of these customers are transitioning from other brands and segments, with a notable trend of trading in small SUVs for the innovative Maverick.
The surge in Ford hybrid vehicle sales underscores a growing trend towards environmentally conscious transportation choices among consumers, highlighting the increasing demand for hybrid pickups that offer both sustainability and practicality. As Ford continues to innovate and expand its hybrid offerings, the company remains poised to meet the evolving needs and preferences of modern drivers, driving towards a greener and more sustainable automotive future.
