The Motovolt M7 was unveiled today by Mr. Snehasis Chakraborty, Hon’ble Minister Of Transport, Government Of West Bengal, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Soumitra Mohan, IAS, Secretary, Department of Transport, Government Of West Bengal, Ms. Barbara Voss, Consul General of Germany in Kolkata, renowned actor Mr. Abir Chatterjee, Mr. Andreas Zurwehme, CEO of eROCKIT, Germany, and Mr. Tushar Choudhary, Founder & CEO of Motovolt Mobility Pvt Ltd.
The M7 is designed with sustainability at its core, significantly reducing plastic use by incorporating efficient metals. Its modular design enhances travel convenience, featuring an intelligently crafted rear section for effortless load-carrying. The ergonomically designed seating is supported by a double cradle heavy-duty mild steel frame, ensuring stability and durability with a payload capacity of up to 180 Kg.
Equipped with a robust 3kWh battery unit, the M7 boasts advanced LFP cell chemistry, guaranteeing durability and safety with over 1000 charge cycles. Encased in aluminum and adhering to AIS 156 standards (IP67), the battery is fire and waterproof. With in-house design and packaging, the battery is portable and can be easily carried and charged anywhere, offering a range of 166 km in IDC mode (ARAI certified). The M7L variant comes with a single battery with the option to upgrade to a dual system, managed by a sophisticated battery control system.
Motovolt has partnered with Swobbee, a European leader in battery-swapping technology, to provide seamless battery swapping capabilities at multiple locations across the country. This convenience aligns with the company’s future vision to integrate Swobbee’s platform more comprehensively.

The M7 is equipped with a sophisticated telematics system accessible through the Motovolt app, designed to streamline fleet management for businesses.
