In a groundbreaking initiative towards sustainable tourism, the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) has unveiled plans to incorporate electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across all 66 of its hotels. The corporation aims to implement this ambitious project within the next two months, fundamentally transforming the travel experience for tourists exploring the scenic state.

As part of this eco-friendly endeavor, guests checking into HPTDC’s hotels will benefit from complimentary vehicle charging services. Strategically positioned on hotel premises, these charging stations offer a convenient and cost-free solution for EV users, enhancing sustainability and visitor convenience.

Presently, the Tourism Development Corporation has successfully installed charging points in 14 of its hotels statewide. These include well-known destinations like Himachal Bhawan in Chandigarh, Hotel Pinewood Barog in Solan district, Hotel Meghdoot Kyarighat, Hotel Baghal Darlaghat, and Hotel Shivalik Parwanoo. Charging facilities are also accessible at Hotel Holiday Home Shimla, Hotel Peterhof Shimla, Willis Park Circuit House Shimla, and Hotel Apple Blossom Fagu.
