Eicher Trucks and Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles, has strengthened its partnership with Safexpress, a prominent logistics and supply chain firm in India. Safexpress, known for its express distribution, 3PL, and consulting services, has received its 100th Eicher truck in the current fiscal year.
Additionally, Eicher Trucks and Buses delivered India’s first 5.5-tonne electric truck, the Eicher Pro 2055 EV, to Safexpress. This move underscores Eicher’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint in transportation, aligning with the government’s Net-Zero vision.
Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of VECV expressed their celebration of this partnership by delivering Safexpress’ 100th Eicher truck and introducing India’s first 5.5-tonne GVW electric truck, the Eicher Pro 2055 EV.
Pawan Jain, Founder and Chairman of Safexpress, emphasized their goal of setting industry standards for sustainable transportation through electric mobility solutions.
The Eicher Pro 2055 EV is based on Eicher’s established electric vehicle technology, offering a 12-foot deck length and various container solutions.
It supports both fast and slow charging options, considering specific application requirements, charging infrastructure, operational needs, charging time constraints, battery capacity, and energy management. The truck also features Eicher’s advanced telematics solution and the My Eicher services.
