The company has also previewed four electric motorcycles set to launch by late 2024. Offered in three variations, namely S1X (with a 2kwh battery), S1X with a 3kwh battery, and S1X+ with an upgraded 3kwh battery along with enhanced connected features, during an event held at the Ola Future Factory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, Ola Electric’s founder and CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, introduced the models.
The introductory price for the S1X with a 2kwh battery version is Rs 79,999 for the first week, subsequently increasing to Rs 89,999. Bookings are open and deliveries are expected to commence in December, aimed at daily commutes of around 10-20 km.

Aggarwal highlighted that the S1X and S1X+ differ in terms of software and connectivity features. The S1X boasts a single-charge range of 151 kilometers and a top speed of 90 km/hour. Aggarwal emphasized that these models signify the end of the era for internal combustion engine scooters, showcasing the cost benefits of owning an electric scooter.
Aggarwal stated, “By developing core technologies in-house, and through adopting economies of scale, localized supply chains and manufacturing engineering, we will ensure complete price parity between ICE and EV vehicles.”
