Ather Energy, a domestic electric vehicle manufacturer, has introduced a new electric two-wheeler named 450S, boasting a range of 115 km and commencing at a starting price of Rs 1,29,999.
The company has also revealed an updated version of the 450X, which will incorporate enhanced safety and performance features. Equipped with India’s pioneering DeepView Display, the 450S is powered by a 2.9 kWh battery capacity, offering a range of 115 km, an acceleration from 0 to 40 in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 90 km/h.
Tarun Mehta, Ather Energy’s Co-Founder & CEO, commented on the new launch, stating, “Our latest entry-level variant – the 450S breaks new ground in the 125cc performance scooter segment by offering a first-of-its-kind DeepView Display dashboard. The 450S sets a new standard for both riding enjoyment and safety, all while maintaining its performance capabilities.”
In addition to the 450S, the company is introducing variations of the 450X with 3kWh and 4kWh battery capacities, providing more choices to consumers. These options also allow customers to choose between models with ranges of 115 km and 145 km.
Furthermore, Ather Energy highlighted the features of the 7-inch DeepView Display, including its 1000:1 contrast ratio, unique auto-brightness functionality, and 18-segment characters, ensuring optimal visibility at any time of the day. The onboard navigation on the display offers over 18 directional possibilities, enabling seamless navigation through complex road intersections.
Both the 450S and 450X models incorporate updated switchgear, offering improved tactile feedback, along with the addition of two new switches: one-click reverse and a joystick.
