Zen Mobility Launches Its First EV Micro Pod

Zen Mobility, an emerging Indian Electric Vehicle OEM, situated at Manesar, Gurgaon (Haryana), today introduced the Zen Micro Pod, a purpose-built cargo 3-wheeler LEV (Light Electric Vehicle), as part of its goal to create inspirational designs and engineering innovations in electric vehicles. The Zen Micro Pod will be available in two variants – the R5x and R10x. With a maximum payload of 150 kilograms, the Zen Micro Pod surpasses conventional 2-wheelers’ load-carrying capacity by 2.5 times. The vehicle operates at a minimal running cost, consuming only 4 units of electricity with a charging time of approx. 1.5 – 2 hrs. The lightweight technology used in the Zen Micro Pod requires less motor power to generate the same output, saving on battery costs and reducing cost-per-delivery. 

Accenture Introduces 200+ Electric Vehicles For Employees For Sustainable Travel

The leading IT services and consulting firm, Accenture has incorporated more than 200 electric vehicles into its fleet in India. This move reflects their dedication to environmental sustainability and aims to provide climate-friendly travel options for their employees across four locations: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and the National Capital Region. This endeavour is in line with Accenture’s worldwide dedication to fostering significant environmental transformation and conducting operations in a sustainable manner. Their goals include achieving net-zero emissions by the end of 2025, transitioning to zero waste, and proactively managing water risks.

Tata Power Partners With Ranchi Airport Authority To Install EV Chargers At Birsa Munda Airport

Tata Power, one of India’s largest and fastest-growing EV charging solution providers, has collaborated with the Ranchi Airport Authority (RAA) to install two public 30 Kw chargers at the Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi. The partnership is aligned with Tata Power’s commitment to encouraging EV adoption in India as well as the government’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) to support the electrification of private and public vehicles by providing the necessary infrastructure.Level-1 chargers are one of the three-speed levels of charging devices for electric vehicles (EVs), the other two being fast EV chargers and rapid EV chargers. It provides a lower charging rate, between 2.3kW and 2.5kW, using standard household electrical outlets like an AC to provide power to the EV. This charging device is more suited to cater to EV owners who come to receive or see off their family or friends or EV cabs and pre-booked cabs while waiting for their passengers.

Exponent Energy And Alt Mobility Partner To Drive Rapid Adoption Of Electric Vehicles With 15-Minute Full Charging

Exponent Energy, an energy-tech startup that’s unlocked a 15-minute full charge for EVs, has formed a partnership with Alt Mobility, a commercial fleet leasing and lifecycle management platform, to lease 1000 Altigreen neEV Tez electric 3-wheelers, powered by Exponent. The Alt Mobility platform offers full-stack integrated fleet lifecycle management including leasing, insurance, and service management to maximise fleet uptime and lower operating costs to provide the lowest total cost of ownership for fleet partners. To enable rapid adoption of EVs, Exponent has effectively tackled significant obstacles to financer confidence arising from poor battery health data availability and earning potential stemming from low productivity of EVs due to long charging time. 

Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Partners With Dogra Regiment For Electric Vehicle Skill Development

Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, an electric two-wheeler maker signs an agreement with the Dogra Regiment. The company has also established Wardwizard’s EV Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Dogra Regimental Centre, in Ayodhya Cantt in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. As per the agreement, Wardwizard will provide upskilling and skill development opportunities specialising in electric vehicles for retired army officers. Wardwizard will hold 5-6 days of training workshops for selected retired personnel and officers. The programmer is designed to guide participants with the required knowledge in the EV sector.

Gati And Schneider Electric Partner For Greener Logistics Solutions

Gati Ltd., an Allcargo Group company and one of India’s premier express logistics and supply chain solutions providers, has entered into a special collaboration with Schneider Electric, the global leader in energy management and automation, to design greener logistics solutions for the company. In the initial phase of the collaboration, Gati has exclusively deployed alternative fuel vehicles for the pick-up of consignments from Schneider Electric’s key distribution centres at Kundli in Haryana, Bhiwandi in Maharashtra and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, deliveries in Gurugram are also being carried out with alternative fuel vehicles. Pirojshaw Sarkari, CEO, of Gati Ltd. and Vikrant Tyagi – Director – Logistics and Supply Chain Schneider Electric along with Schneider Electric’s logistics team flagged off the alternative fuel vehicles at the Farukh Nagar STC on May 24, 2023.

Zypp Electric Plans To Deploy 2 Lakh Vehicles, Seeks $300 Million For Expansion

Zypp Electric is planning to deploy around 2 lakh vehicles in its vehicle fleet in the coming 3 years and the company will require $300 million for its expansion plans, as per Akash Gupta, the CEO and co-founder. The company is also planning to enter cities like Pune, Hyderabad, and Mumbai and is targeting a revenue of Rs 500 crore by the year-end which will be up from Rs 125 crore in 2022. Zypp Electric serves food and grocery delivery players as well as e-commerce companies such as Amazon, Myntra, Swiggy, Zomato, PharmEasy, and others and is present in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR.

Log9 Materials, a Bengaluru-based company signs an agreement with Quantum Energy, a Hyderabad-based company and unveils the fastest charging commercial electric two-wheelers of India ‘Bzinesslite InstaCharged by Log9’. The vehicle is powered with RapidX 2000 batteries of Log9 and will help in charging the vehicle in 12 minutes. The partnership will deploy 10,000 InstaCharged electric vehicles in India by March 2024. These two electric two-wheelers will be used for food delivery, courier services, e-commerce services and etc. Soon the companies will deploy 200 Bzinesslite InstaCharged by Log9 in Hyderabad through a logistics fleet service company enabling hyperlocal deliveries, Whizzy Logistics.
