
EKA Mobility and Shuzlan Energy have entered into a partnership to provide EV charging infrastructure for their customers in India.
Shuzlan Energy has been named as an official provider of electric charging solutions for EKA’s 9-metre buses. A release said that the charging infrastructure provider will install stations certified by OCPP and ARAI of 30 kW, 60 kW, and 120 kW capacity for institutional customers throughout the country.
EKA & Pinnacle Industries Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Mehta stated that customers will be able to electrify fleets faster and more easily through the new partnership with Shuzlan Energy. Mehta stated that the company is looking forward to offering a broad range of technologies and solutions in an integrated, streamlined, and efficient manner to democratize EVs with best-of-breed TCO (total-cost-of-ownership) solutions and sustainable ecosystems.
Shuel Bhamla (Director, Shuzlan Energy) stated that Shuzlan Energy has a mission to provide sustainable electric mobility solutions via its charging stations. It has already begun to set up charging stations in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. By 2024, the company aims to have 10,000 stations throughout India. He stated that the company is committed to creating an Indian ecosystem of AC and DC chargers that will revolutionize electric mobility.
EKA, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries launched its 9-meter electric bus last year. It was completely designed and built in India. The first batch is expected to soon be on the roads. The bus can carry 31 passengers and a driver.
