Italian Piaggio Group’s 100% owned subsidiary Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd launches two new electric three-wheelers: Ape E-City FX Max (passenger segment) and Ape E-Xtra FX Max (cargo segment).
The Ape E-City FX Max is priced at Rs 325,794 and has a range of 145 km. The Ape E-Xtra FX Max boasts a range of 115 km and is priced at Rs 343,458.
Diego Graffi is the Chairman and MD of PVPL. He stated that the Ape E-City FX Max has a running cost of Rs 40 paise per km, while the Ape E-Xtra FX Max is Rs 48 paise per km.
He stated, “Our talented team consisting of engineers and R&D have designed the new Ape FX Max range in order to provide optimum value for our customers through the improved range, gradeability, total cost of ownership, as well as load-carrying capability. The new range offers entrepreneurs the best chance to reap maximum benefits. Piaggio Vehicles is focusing its vision on future mobility and will continue to work with India to develop alternative fuels.
The electric three-wheelers have a reserve range of up to 5 km, 12-inch tyres, and telematics 2.0. They also feature new styling. According to the company, both E3Ws are being assembled by an all-women team.
Piaggio offers a warranty for 175,000 kms for the passenger variant, and 150,000 kms for the cargo variant. These new vehicles meet AIS-156 safety standards (vehicle & batteries).
PVPL signed an agreement with key industry partners in addition to the launch of the new product range.
