PMV Electric, a Mumbai-based startup that makes electric vehicles, has launched its high-tech EaS–E microcar under the Personal Mobility Vehicle segment. The price of the car starts at Rs 4.79 lakh.
The new product, which can be used to commute two adults and a kid will offer three range options, according to the company – 120 km, 160 km, as well as 200 km.
EaS-E can reach speeds of 70 kmph and can go 0-40 km/h in just 5 seconds.
The 4G-enabled electric vehicle can also be used for remote parking assistance, feet-free driving, and cruise control. It also has Bluetooth connectivity, remote connectivity, & diagnostics, and onboard navigation.
EaS-E can easily be charged from any 15A outlet within 3-4 hours using its onboard charger.
Kalpit Patel, founder, and CEO stated that the product had opened the door to a new category of the Indian Automotive industry, which is the Personal Mobility Vehicle. This is in addition to the SUV, Sedan, and hatchback. We are looking forward to getting into production.
Pre-bookings have been initiated for the EV at a modest amount of Rs 2000. The company already has received more than 6,000 orders from both the Indian and International markets. The statement stated that deliveries are expected to start in mid-2023.
The startup is currently in discussions to establish its manufacturing unit in Pune with its partners, who will collaborate in putting the vehicle into production.
