Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, initiated an electric two-wheeler vehicle distribution program for sanitation workers. This scheme is now available to ten municipalities in the state.
Bommai stressed the importance of making sanitation workers’ lives easier by giving them all the facilities they need and giving them strength.
“The distribution of electric 2-wheelers has been expanded to ten cities corporations in the state. He said that 400 of the 600 sanitation workers who were selected for the scheme will receive the vehicles in the initial phase.
After distributing electric two-wheelers to sanitation workers in Vidhana Soudha, Vikasa Soudha and MS Buildings, the Chief Minister spoke. The event was organized by ‘Karnataka State Safai Karmacharis Development Corporation’ near ‘Vidhana Soudha’.
According to the CM, sanitation workers are doing an “important job”. Bommai stated that the distribution of electric vehicles is just one of many ways to honour their work.
“Sanitation workers in Western countries travel in cars, and the same is happening in our country,” the Chief Minister stated. The Chief Minister stated that they now move in scooters, and it is not too far away from the days when they travel in cars.
