Construction of 14 electric vehicle charging stations in Delhi begins at bus stops. According to the document the development of these EV charging stations began at bus depots at Rajghat, Dwarka Sector-22, Chattarpur, Seemapuri, Kair, Dilshad Garden, Dhichau Kalan, Rani Khera, Bawana Sector-1 and Sector-5 Rewla Khanpur, and Kanjhawala.
Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DTIDC) of the Delhi government is building these electric vehicle charging stations.
The charging stations will have GPS to track real-time location, boundary measurements, coordinates of building and all corner points, among others.
The users will be charged Rs 2 per unit at these charging stations. The 100 public charging stations are being installed through an open tender.
Currently, Delhi has 573 EV charging stations, 318 battery swapping stations, and 812 EV charging points. The 100 new EV charging stations will offer 500 EV charging points and will be operational by September.
