Audi has unveiled the all-new Nuvolari, the most powerful and fastest production vehicle in the company’s history, marking a significant milestone in the luxury automaker’s technological transformation and performance ambitions.
Limited to just 499 units worldwide, the Audi Nuvolari combines a high-performance hybrid powertrain with Formula 1-inspired engineering, delivering an impressive 1,001 PS and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. The near-production prototype was revealed on June 4, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.
Audi said the Nuvolari represents the next phase of its strategic renewal as the automotive industry undergoes rapid change driven by electrification, digitalization, and increased global competition.
“The Audi Nuvolari brings pure emotion and performance to the road. It also reveals how we are taking ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ into a new era,” said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner.
The supercar is the first Audi model to feature a high-performance hybrid powertrain and introduces several advanced technologies, including the world-first quattro predictive ride system, active aerodynamics, and an innovative Audi Space Frame with a carbon-fiber exterior.
According to Audi Board Member for Technical Development Rouven Mohr, the Nuvolari sets new benchmarks for performance, driving dynamics, and efficiency while showcasing technologies inspired by the brand’s Formula 1 program.
Named after legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, the supercar reflects Audi’s focus on innovation, precision engineering, and motorsport heritage. The company describes the vehicle as a technological flagship designed to demonstrate how racing-derived innovation can be transferred to road-going vehicles.
The Nuvolari is also the first production model to fully embody Audi’s new design philosophy. Characterized by clean lines, sculpted surfaces, and a bold, monolithic stance, the vehicle combines visual simplicity with functional aerodynamics. Inside, the cockpit has been crafted to provide a driver-centric experience while maintaining a premium and sophisticated atmosphere.
Audi’s sales and marketing chief Marco Schubert said the model represents the company’s move deeper into the high-performance luxury segment and reinforces its ambition to become the most desirable premium automotive brand.
With its combination of electrified performance, cutting-edge technology, exclusive production run, and Formula 1-inspired engineering, the Audi Nuvolari is set to become one of the most significant halo models in the brand’s history.
