EV maker Hero Electric has inaugurated its third dealership in Malappuram, Kerala, where it has appointed G & K Motors to drive the business in the state. Opened in Panthavoor, Edappal, Malappuram, the facility comprises a 2750 sq ft area along with a service area of 650 sq ft.
The opening of this facility will strengthen the dealer network in Southern India, which will help the brand get closer to 1000 touchpoints throughout the country.
Sohinder Gill, CEO, of Hero Electric said, “The new dealership with G&K Motors adds to our customer-centric approach and our constant efforts to get closer to them, setting new benchmarks for customer satisfaction in the region. We are essentially setting up a miniature EV ecosystem leadership and are excited to witness the future unfold, harbouring the collective dream to mobilize India’s billion EV dreams.”
Hero Electric is currently present in 25 Indian states and plans to surpass 1000 sales touchpoints by FY2023. In response to the rising demand for electric two-wheelers, Kerala has created incentive programs to increase EV sales. The state offers a 50% discount on the initial year’s road tax for electric vehicles to encourage adoption and manufacturing.
