Omega Seiki Mobility, an electric vehicle maker inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing unit at Chakan, Pune. This manufacturing unit will manufacture Rage+ series and Stream passenger electric three-wheelers.

Omega Seiki Mobility, an electric vehicle maker inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing unit at Chakan, Pune. This manufacturing unit will manufacture Rage+ series and Stream passenger electric three-wheelers.

The plant is built with an investment of Rs 40 crore and is spread across 50,000 sq ft. The facility can manufacture 6000 electric three-wheelers per year. The company will also employ more than 250 personnel for this unit.

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, of Omega Seiki Mobility, said, “We have set up this facility to meet the growing demand of the market. The Pune facility will help us to aggressively expand our operations in the West of India.”

The company has received an order of more than 50,000 electric three-wheeler cargo. This is Omega Seiki Mobility’s fourth unit and it will consist of automated manufacturing systems for material handling and logistics, painting and fabrication, quality assurance and assembly.

The other three manufacturing units are in IMT Faridabad. Omega Seiki Mobility wants to accelerate its manufacturing capacity to 30,000 units by the next three years with an investment of Rs 150 crore.

“At Omega Seiki Mobility we work on the hub and spoke model as the cost of transportation is very high. We will be launching four more manufacturing facilities in the next two years,” Narang added.
