Ather Energy will expand its retail presence in Kerala with 8 new experience centres in Tier 2 and 3 cities including Kollam, Kannur, Kottayam, and others. After opening its first Ather Space in Kerala last January, Ather Energy now has 13 retail outlets across the state. Customers in Kerala now have the option to purchase electric scooters from 8 different experience centres.
Ravneet S Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “The consumer response in Kerala has been truly amazing and it is not surprising that with this launch, Kerala will have the largest retail presence of Ather experience centres across all states. The EV demand has been exponentially rising across Kerala with customers increasingly looking for better EV options that offer a great riding experience, advanced features and tremendous value.”
He added, “Ather Energy’s expansion across the state is a result of this strong demand and the overwhelming interest from retail partners to accelerate Ather Energy’s mission to increase consumer touchpoints making the 450 series accessible to more customers”.
Ather will open its experience centres in these cities in a gradual manner in Q2 2022. Ather will start by offering test rides for customers to experience the vehicle. Ather has been in touch with potential retail partners in these cities and has begun to locate spaces for its fast electric vehicle charging network, Ather Grid.
Ather Energy has already installed more than 40 Ather Grid points in Kerala. To strengthen its charging network, the company will add 8-10 charging points to each of these eight new cities.
