Ather Energy inaugurates its first experience centre at Vesa, Surat, the second one in Gujarat after the first one in Ahmedabad. The company saw strong demand for the Ather 450X and 450 Plus e-scooters, around 8 fold.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “The response from Gujarat has been phenomenal since the opening of our Ahmedabad experience centre in January. Consumers have evolved and are now aware of the benefits of going electric, and expect electric scooters to offer excellent riding and ownership experience. This has led to significant demand for Ather’s 450X and 450 Plus scooters, as they are currently India’s best electric scooters on offer. To cater to growing consumer demand in Gujarat, we are planning to expand to more cities, as we continue to see more customers in the state shifting to electric scooters.”

Customers can get a trial run of the scooter with an interactive and dynamic space. The centre will give the customer the required knowledge and information about the scooter. The store is in collaboration with Kataria Group.

Dharmendra Mishra, the executive director, Kataria Group, said, “We are proud to be associated with Ather Energy as a Retail Partner in Surat after Ahmedabad. We are overwhelmed by customers’ response in the last one year in our experience center of Ahmedabad and our commitment for EVs grows further. We look forward to welcoming and delivering the best in class buying experience to electric two-wheelers evangelists of Surat and south Gujarat.”

The company has previously installed two fast-charging points titled Ather Grid in Surat. The company will also add 8-10 more stations for the convenience of the customer. Ather will install 500 Ather Grids by FY22 end. The charging will be free by the year-end. The company has 25 retail stores across 21 cities in the country and it plans to expand to 100 cities by March 2023.
