With the rising pollution level and decreasing air quality, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has launched an e-bike service in the Delhi University (DU) area.

Mayor of North Delhi, Raja Iqbal Singh said that using commercial vehicles is releasing harmful smoke which is a major pollution contributor.

People will get an environment-friendly means of transportation with this e-bike service. Yulu will be providing this service.

Students who come to the city for studying will be benefitted from this service as most of them rely on public transport for traveling.

Yulu is a technology-driven mobility platform that enables Integrated Urban Mobility across public and private modes of transport. Using Micro Mobility Vehicles (MMVs) through a user-friendly mobile app, Yulu enables first and last-mile connectivity that is seamless, shared, and sustainable.

Jogi Ram Jain, NDMC Standing Committee Chairman, said that 200 e-bikes will be provided in the Civil Lines Zone and 400 e-bikes will be added later. Also, areas that come under Karol Bagh, Keshapuran, and Rohini Zones will be covered.
