Ashok Leyland to focus on a green mobility future with various initiatives to make its presence more prominent in alternate vehicle fuel like CNG and LNG. Hosur facility of the company will especially focus on alternative fuels.
Powertrains are based on IC engines which comprises of gasoline and diesel. But for the coming decade, electric battery powertrain would be focused and Ashok Leyland is focusing on the same by dedicating teams for developing it.

There is a push towards CNG and LNG which everyone can see and according to CTO of Ashok Leyland N Saravanan, fossil fuels will soon be replaced by hydrogen and methanol.
