GNIDA And CESL To Set Up EV Charging Stations In Greater Noida

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and CESL have signed a deal for establishing charging stations for electric vehicles in Greater Noida.

The company will set up 100 charging stations in the city. The first charging station will be set up in 2 weeks.

The deal was signed in the presence of Naveen Kumar Singh (In charge of commerce cell and OSD), Deep Chandra (GNIDA Additional CEO), and other CESL officers.

The Company said, “The first charging station is targeted to be commissioned in the next two weeks in the Alpha commercial belt.”

GNIDA said that under the National Electric Mobility Scheme, it is trying to encourage the use of electric vehicles in the country and Greater Noida is part of that campaign.

The company further said, “On instructions of GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan, charging stations for electric vehicles are going to be built at 100 places in Greater Noida. For this, the GNIDA has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited (a subsidiary of EESL) on Tuesday.”

The first charging station is being set up and after that both the companies will deploy a joint survey for marking the location for the remaining charging stations and will submit the same in 10 working days.

“These charging stations to be built in collaboration with CESL will bring great convenience to electric vehicle drivers,” added the company.

As per Mahua Acharya, CESL MD and CEO, One of the major cities for industrial work is Greater Noida, as the city has good opportunities and promotes electric vehicles.
