Greaves Electric Mobility Announces 100% Acquisition Of E-Rickshaw Company Bestway

Greaves Electric Mobility, the E-Mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited and one of the leading players in the E-2W and E-3W segment announced 100 percent acquisition of Bestway Agencies Pvt. Ltd. (BAPL) which sells E-Rickshaws under the popular ELE brand. Last year in July, the company first announced their intervention with Bestway with 74% stake and added e-rickshaw as part of the portfolio offerings. With significant quarter-on-quarter growth, owning to the increase in petrol prices, and people seeking it as the form of livelihood; Greaves has experienced much appreciation from customers & channel partners after adding ELE to their family. As per declared results, ELE E-rickshaws has seen tremendous growth over the last year.

South Mumbai To Get Three Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Recently, environment minister Aaditya Thackeray conducted the Bhoomi poojan of three electric vehicle charging stations in South Mumbai. The locations of these charging stations are Hutatma Chowk, Kalaghoda Chowk, and Rampart Road in the A ward. On this occasion, Aaditya asked the BMC to set up more charging stations at public parking lots. The BMC was also quoted as saying that these three places will have three charging points each. Each charging point will have a 7.4 KW AC charging capacity for which a single-phase power supply will be provided. As there is a single-phase power supply, it will be possible to build this electric vehicle charging station in a small space and in a small size. The charging stations are easy to maintain and also vehicles can be charged safely while parking at these stations.

This experience center will allow customers to access Piaggio’s entire range of electric vehicles. Piaggio had recently launched their FX range (fixed battery) of electric vehicles in both cargo and passenger segments. These new products will be available at the new Chennai outlet.

Chandigarh’s Paid Parking Lots To Have EV Charging Stations

The UT of Chandigarh is set to have EV charging stations soon in its paid parking lots. Recently, the Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science and Technology Promotion Society (Crest) of the UT administration has written to the civic body to identify the locations for both fast and slow charging stations. As of now, no financial model has been mentioned by Crest. Hence, it is also not clear whether the municipal corporation (MC) will make some revenue out of it. As per the information provided by the UT administration to the MC, a total of 600 square feet parking area is required for a fast-charging station and 1,000 square feet for a slow charging station inclusive of the area required for equipment like transformers.

Tata Motors To Offer Electric Mobility For Employee Transportation To Endress+Hauser Flowtec (India) Pvt. Ltd

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced its association with Endress+Hauser Flowtec (India) Pvt. Ltd, a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services, and solutions for industrial process engineering, for the deployment of electric buses for employee transportation. The association marks a unique contract of electric buses by a corporate in India. Tata Motors has delivered two units of 9-metre 34-seater AC electric buses and a DC fast charger for green employee mobility from its facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
