A new electric car charging station has been installed at Clarkstown Town Hall. The charging station has four chargers for any type of electric vehicle or plug in hybrid.
The first two hours are complementary and a small fee is charged for the additional hours (up to two more).
Town officials received a $16,000 grant from NYS DEC to install it. Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board held a press conference and ribbon cutting to show off the new facility at 10 Maple Ave. in New City.
Clarkstown is the first municipality in Rockland offering a charging station.
