SWITCH Mobility And MoEVing Join Forces To Roll Out 2,500 Electric LCVs

Switch Mobility Ltd., the electric vehicle division of the Hinduja Group, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MoEVing, an electric mobility platform, to supply 2,500 units of its IeV4 electric light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

According to a company statement, five SWITCH IeV4 vehicles were delivered as part of the initial order for 100 vehicles on Wednesday.

The IeV4, a recent addition to Switch Mobility’s lineup, is a variant of the SWITCH IeV Series and is classified as a light commercial vehicle . Featuring a 32.2 kWh battery, it offers a range of 120 km. Additionally, it is equipped with a 60 kW motor, 230 Nm torque, and has a payload capacity of 1700 kg, along with telematics solutions. These systems optimize routes, promote efficient driving, prevent breakdowns, and offer real-time data for streamlined deliveries, the company noted.

Mahesh Babu, CEO of SWITCH Mobility Ltd., commented, “Our SWITCH IeV4, India’s first eLCV in the 3.5-ton category, is built on an advanced 310V high-voltage architecture for enhanced performance. With superior payload, extended range, and maximized volumetric space, our vehicle offers a significantly better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), making the SWITCH IeV4 the smarter choice for a greener future.”

Vikash Mishra, Founder and CEO of MoEVing, stated, “We will introduce this innovative vehicle across all our customer networks, reaffirming our commitment to revolutionizing logistics with cutting-edge solutions.”

The company aims to produce approximately 3,000 units annually, catering to various applications such as cargo transport, containers, garbage collection, and refrigerated vans. Switch Mobility has already secured MoUs for 12,000 to 13,000 e-LCVs, indicating strong early demand.
