Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast made its debut at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026, showcasing a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem designed to accelerate EV adoption and create new economic opportunities for Filipino consumers.
Held from June 4 to 7 in Metro Manila, PIMS is one of the Philippines’ premier automotive exhibitions, featuring around 150 vehicles from leading local and international brands. This year, nearly half of the vehicles on display are electrified, reflecting the growing momentum behind sustainable transportation.
At the center of VinFast’s 240-square-meter exhibit is the launch of Rentapasada, a new mobility program that allows participants to access VinFast electric vehicles through flexible rental arrangements and earn income by operating on the Green GSM ride-hailing platform. The initiative aims to lower the barriers to EV ownership by offering low upfront deposits, long-term rental contracts, and fixed daily rates starting at PHP 1,000.
According to VinFast, Rentapasada is designed not only to expand access to electric mobility but also to provide drivers with a practical income-generating opportunity. The program forms part of a broader ecosystem that integrates electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, transportation services, and ownership solutions.
Visitors to the VinFast booth can explore a wide range of electric models, including the VF 3, VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9, as well as the service-oriented Herio Green and Limo Green vehicles. The company is also highlighting V-Green’s charging network and Green GSM’s transportation services, demonstrating how various elements of the ecosystem work together to support EV users.
A key attraction at the show is the VF MPV 7, an electric multi-purpose vehicle designed for family use. To celebrate its PIMS debut, VinFast is offering special incentives to the first 1,000 customers, including purchase discounts worth more than PHP 27,000 or up to one year of complimentary battery subscription benefits.
The company is also extending free charging at V-Green stations until March 31, 2029, for eligible customers. Buyers can alternatively choose a one-year complimentary battery subscription package, offering additional flexibility based on individual usage needs.
Antonio “Toti” Zara III, CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia, said the company’s participation reflects its long-term commitment to the Philippine market and its vision of making electric mobility more practical and accessible. He emphasized that modern consumers increasingly value the overall ownership experience, not just the vehicle itself.
As VinFast continues its global expansion, the company is positioning itself as more than an EV manufacturer by building an integrated ecosystem that supports customers throughout every stage of their mobility journey.
