VinFast has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with 14 e-scooter distributors in the Philippines, marking a significant step in accelerating its retail network expansion ahead of its planned product launch in June 2026.
The partnerships involve major motorcycle distributors such as Wheeltek Motor Sales Corporation, Motoxpress Sales Corporation, and Motorpro by Abenson Ventures Inc., among others. These partners bring extensive market experience and established distribution networks, enabling VinFast to quickly scale operations across key urban regions.
Under the agreement, VinFast and its partners will roll out a network of showrooms across high-demand areas including Metro Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao, and provinces like Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas. The showrooms will adhere to VinFast’s global standards, supporting both sales and after-sales services.
In the initial phase, the network will distribute a range of battery-swapping electric scooters, including the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper models. These products are expected to be tailored to local infrastructure conditions and consumer preferences, enhancing adoption in the growing e-mobility segment.
The Philippines, one of Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle markets, is witnessing rising demand for sustainable mobility solutions amid fuel price volatility and rapid urbanization. VinFast aims to capitalize on this shift by building a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem.
A key component of this strategy is the planned deployment of approximately 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide, in collaboration with infrastructure partners. This initiative is expected to improve convenience and reduce range anxiety for users.
“Our partnerships with 14 major dealers in the Philippines mark an important step in establishing a strong distribution and service foundation,” said Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market. “We are not only introducing products tailored to local needs but also developing an integrated ecosystem to support sustainable mobility adoption.”
The expansion aligns with VinFast’s broader strategy to grow its e-scooter business across key international markets, including Indonesia, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, further strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia’s green mobility transition.
