Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, announced the launch of its latest electric scooter, Magnus G Max, aimed at meeting the everyday mobility needs of Indian families. The new model has been introduced at an introductory price of ₹94,999, positioning it in the sub-₹1 lakh EV segment.
Designed for daily commuting and household use, the Magnus G Max offers a real-world riding range of over 100 km in Eco mode and features a 33-litre under-seat storage compartment, among the largest in its category. The scooter is powered by a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, supported by a 5-year or 75,000 km warranty, underscoring the company’s focus on safety and long-term reliability.
The electric scooter is available in three dual-tone colour options — Monsoon Blue, Matcha Green and Cinnamon Copper — giving it a modern and family-friendly appeal.
Charging from 20 to 80 percent takes around 4.5 hours, making it suitable for regular city travel and short inter-city commutes. The vehicle is equipped with a hub-mounted motor delivering 1.5 kW nominal and 2.4 kW peak power, along with Eco, City and Reverse riding modes. It has a top speed of 65 kmph, a dual-frame chassis and 165 mm ground clearance, designed to handle uneven urban roads and speed breakers.
Commenting on the launch, Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said the Magnus G Max was developed after extensive research into real-world usage patterns of Indian families.
Our focus has been on maximising the riding experience while ensuring consistency, reliability and peace of mind across range, comfort, storage and battery safety, he said, adding that the model is backed by Ampere’s nationwide service and after-sales network.
Additional features include hydraulic telescopic front suspension, dual rear shock absorbers, a 3.5-inch LCD digital display with USB charging, LED lighting and optional connected technology features.
With over 17 years of experience in electric mobility and operations across multiple manufacturing plants in India, Ampere said the Magnus G Max strengthens its portfolio of practical and dependable electric scooters for households transitioning to clean mobility.
The company expects the new launch to attract family riders seeking an affordable electric alternative without compromising on space, range or everyday usability.
